the cutout in the first image was done with the circular selection tool lol, and I just randomly placed it just to get an idea of what it would look like, I may refine it a bit tonight when I'm off work.
oh gosh so many conflicting opinions lol remember: if anyone wants to they can draw their own design on the templates I provided. And I don't mind if you share them with other people for their own work. Just remember to set the ppi in photoshop to 206 when printing on 8.5"x11" paper, and it...
Oh that's pretty nice actually. I'll draw it up late when I get home from work. Thanks. Thanks a lot dude. Thinking about cutting the body in half horizontally to chamber it/make it a semi-hollow (the body is actually one piece, thick enough for a really deep carve.)
Thanks, that's the one I think I'm going with. Bought the tuners for this a long time ago, I took a long break from building and I'm just starting up again.
sure, had to stagger the tuners since I have Gotoh and the screw is at an angle and wouldn't allow the A and D tuners to be that close together. http://i.imgur.com/SY5mD.jpg
Vik-style? Haven't been around the boards for a long time, so I don't know what you mean by this. Care to post some examples? But yes, there will be a veneer and possible backstrap, cut the headstock material a little bit too thin :ugh:
4x4 headstock design, here's the body: http://i.imgur.com/qGnUx.jpg and here are some headstocks idk: headstocks - Imgur They all seem pretty boring, but there isn't really much I can do with 4x4 either. Anyone got some ideas?
Fraser Valley Fine Woods has some nice stuff (not bubinga) MapleLeaf Hardwoods you could grab some super figured maple from there.. and don't forget eBay - New & used electronics, cars, apparel, collectibles, sporting goods & more at low prices
Uneven design. Doesn't really look like an RG/Blackmachine shape much at all to be honest. You could use this to get the correct shape for an RG, but you'd have to modify the heel area.
