Hey guys, I recorded a 1 hour, 3 minute long video on my iPad 4, iOS6.
I cannot find it in my DCIM folder! Every other video and photo before and after are there, except this long, very important video. I have taken 40-50 minute videos on here before, no problem.
I assume it's over...
Using these as an effects processor only, which is more
convenient
easy to dial in
(has more) DSP
I basically want a trigger-able pedal board for crazy (not subtle) effects. I understand the HD 500 has 8 slots, and variable DSP usuage per effect. How does it stack up against the Axe FX...
Hey guys,

Hey guys,
Has anyone tried an electric guitar with the same nut width as the bridge width?
I'm looking at grabbing a bolt-on Rondo just to experiment with recent neck ideas out there (Strandberg/Toone).
Is there any reason why I can't or shouldn't replace a typical cone shape neck...
Keith Jarrett, one of the most universally acclaimed, sophisticated musical minds of our time, plays Green Dolphin Street.
Play around 3:17. You'll know when you hear it.
Hey guys,
As you may or may not know, I recently pulled out of the schools and programs I was working for after being offered a job directing a music school much closer to home. Unfortunately, it's killed my student-base!
In the process of rebuilding, I'm offering the following to my fellow...
Hey guys,
I'll be offering lessons to people of all ages in the Toronto area.
About Me:
I have 15-16 years of classical piano training, my ARCT, and a few years of study with Juno and Grammy winning jazz pianists.
I currently make a living playing jazz (&funk/R&B etc.) within Toronto...
Someone filmed me playing in downtown TO in front of the ROM.
Unfortunately they missed a lot of the good stuff.
Gratuitous use of quartal/quintal harmony. Big runs. Figured this crowd would enjoy.
If you view it on youtube, the framing is much better for some reason.
Hey guys,
My band performed on a network show up here in Canada, and that performance is currently being hosted on Watch TV & Movies Online - Free in Canada! | Rogers On Demand
I'm trying to obtain a copy of this performance for future promotional purposes, but I can't seem to do it...
Check these guys out:
Quietus -
Symphonic prog metal/prog rock with some "jazz" moments. Three guitar players, piano, bass and drummer (the lead guitarist also sings). Interesting song structure. They also have a lot of interesting counterpoint in the writing. The whole EP is up on their...
One of a few videos from my last gig. Waiting on board audio to upload a few more, but this one was interesting enough to upload now. It's like McCoy Tyner and Monk over a pretty straight jazz standard. Not sure if I actually like what I played. Figured you guys would appreciate it.
Normally I'd post this in the art section, but it's pretty dead there.
Thinking of grabbing a used DSLR to record video of musical performances (live and studio). Any tips on what models I should be looking at, what lens wise, or what I'm getting into?
I had someone record a singer I was...
Recorded this back at the beginning of September.
The head (melody) runs from 0:07 - 0:48. Should've repeated it twice. I play the melody again at 5:55 to close the piece.
Recorded before I got my Babyface, unfortunately, so poor video and audio quality abound.
Working title is "Hangman's...
I'm playing with a prog metal band and we've got some shows lined up. As most of you guys know, I've gotten really heavy into the jazz thing over the last couple of years, and I sold a bunch of stuff when I moved.
This is what I've got:
Gibson Flying V
Agile 8 (stock Cepheus passives) (I...
I improvised this as part of a few things I was working on, figured this crowd would appreciate the kind of harmony I'm pulling from and the more aggressive style of playing.
Hey guys,
The plan is to grab a few midi pedals and a high quality, but simple interface to turn my laptop into a looper. And have a portable recording platform.
About Me:
-I have a $400 budget
-I use a PC
-Ableton Live 8 is my DAW of choice.
-I'm using a Boss GT-8, Polytone amp...
