String gauge for Drop G on 30" guitar

Feels like that would be too tight, I think I'll try something like 0.65 - 0.70 first and take it from there

String gauge for Drop G on 30" guitar

I guess I would like a 0.54. Never really played much in standard E.. 0.46 is not ideal in standard E for me, that much I know. And yes it has locking tuners:)

String gauge for Drop G on 30" guitar

Not quite sure, but I know the low E is 0.95 and it's a little too floppy. The strings are not wound one or more times on the tuning pegs. They are just bent, what's up with that?(english is not my native language so I hope you understand what I mean)

String gauge for Drop G on 30" guitar

Just got my Schecter Hellraiser C-VI. Astonishing guitar, absolutley awesome definition on the low E. However, I've grown to like the sound of drop G alot, and now I'm thinking: What would be a good string gauge for Drop G on this beast? I may tune to F sometimes aswell, but mainly G...

    30" 7-string 2013?

I see. Well it's either a 30" 6/7string or a 28" 6/7 string I am looking for. No less than 28 and not an 8 string. I think I'm going to order the Hellraiser C-VI. If it turns out that I don't like it, I'll return it and look around for something else then.

    30" 7-string 2013?

    I know, and then I asked a follow-up question wondering whether we might see a 28" 7-string guitar:squint:

    30" 7-string 2013?

This will be used for clean dark sounds and heavy chugga riffs:hbang:, and not for shredding or anything close to it. My brother has a 30" scale bass and I can actually play that quite alright, and I want to try something a little bit out of the ordinary I've heard rumors about Schecter...

    30" 7-string 2013?

So I am looking for a 30" either 6 or 7 string. Agile is not an option as I don't live in the us, and not willing to risk shipping it.. I'm considering the Hellraiser C-VI right now. The only thing that's stopping me is the fact that I'd like it to be a 7-string.. So does anyone know of...

    Ibanez RGD7421 vs LTD H-1007

I actually happen to like the Gibraltar Bridge, but then again I only play one guitar(with a Gibraltar bridge atm) so I don't really have anything to compare it with. I find the jackson quite nice aswell, but what kind of body is it? Basswood or Mahogany? The official site says Mahogany, but...

    Ibanez RGD7421 vs LTD H-1007

I went to my local musicstore today and tried out the Hellraiser C-7 and some other 7 string, Damien or Diamond I believe. Yes the neck is a bit thicker than my current Ibanez, but I quite liked it. Not as thick as I had imagined. The only weird thing was that the guitar had 7 strings:rolleyes...

    Ibanez RGD7421 vs LTD H-1007

So it really comes down to either the Ibby 7421 or the Schecter C-7. The Schecter looks alot better than the Ibby, but the ibby is way cheaper(altough pick-up change will ofc happen). I'd like to try something new, my current 6 string guitar is and Ibby and I really really like it, but it...

    Ibanez RGD7421 vs LTD H-1007

So I've been looking around for quite some time now and I have a hard time making my mind up on this one.. I'm looking for a 26.5" guitar and lately I've been looking into the Schecter Blackjack C-7 ATX. Looks really nice. So without making a new thread, I'd like some input and advice on...

    Ibanez RGD7421 vs LTD H-1007

Thanks to everyone for your input! I have decided to leave the H-1007 and instead go for the Ibanez most likely, or a Shecter if I happen to like it
