Did you try adjusting the oversampling rate? I haven't tried Genome yet but noticed the ability to do this somewhere in a review. Wondering how the CPU usage and audio quality changes with different oversampling rates.
I'd say, on average, every 6 months. That's usually the interval between some sort of maintenance or upgrade. Unless I'm recording. I prefer nearly fresh strings for recording. Right after they get fully stretched and are stable.
The classics that have been on countless recordings of the bands I enjoy.

Absolutely despise the Fishman Fluence Modern and KM.
I have a BE OD. I've tried running it through my Fryette Power Station (tube power), then in to my Fractal FM3 for cab sim and FX. Sounded pretty good. I prefer it this way vs going straight in the front of an amp.
Also tried a REVV G4 this way and it sounded even better, but that's what it's...
I have both a FM3 and the Synergy system (Syn-1 that I run through a Fryette Power Station). I prefer the Synergy/Fryette PS for the raw amp tones. There's a tiny difference that is difficult to put into words. You just notice it when you're playing. Combination of feel and tone. Almost...
I'm loving my Synergy modules. Currently have the Herbert, 800, Vai, and Ecstasy. I run them through a Fryette Power Station.
I have a Fractal FM3 as well, which gets used for effects and IRs when I'm using my Synergy modules. I do still use the amp models in the FM3 from time to time but...
Well, happy this will end up being somewhat "popular" in an era in which 99.9% of popular music blows balls. So, I can't complain too much.
Still, not likely I'll be listening to it, just like I don't listen to any post- Justice Metallica.
Metallica doesn't sound like what they did and their...
If you feel there's even a small chance that you'll be doing pickup swaps, I'd definitely recommend rings or a pickguard. Direct mounts often (not always) can be a pain in the ass for pickup swaps. Routes that are too small or too large, stripped screws, stripped wood, holes that aren't deep...
I just did the same. Replaced the Fluence Modern in my Strandberg Prog to a EMG 81-7H. This is the 2nd Fishman bridge pu I've replaced. The first was a Keith Merrow. I greatly prefer EMGs for metal. The half-cocked midrange honk and stiff feel that I had with the Modern is gone.
What I don't get is that with 99% of popular music these days being utter shit, people choose to spend their time dissing Nickelback? Not a fan, but I'd sooner listen to Nickelback than most of the rest of the crap out there. At least they actually play instruments instead of having a producer...
I've tweaked my life away on Axe Fx, FM3, Kemper, real amps with load boxes, and numerous plugins (including several Neural plugins that I own) for the last 10 years. I'm a natural born tweaker. I enjoy it but it does get frustrating at times and keeps me from what I really should be doing-...
I've tried a ton of different pickups over the years. Don't really need to but it's fun. What I've found is this:
The "flavor of the day, or month, year, whatever" is just that. Usually just hype. Wait a little while and a new flavor will come along.
I usually end up going back to the...
Personally, I always prefer bass, especially when it's mixed so that you can hear it relatively well. Adds another dimension to the music and makes it more interesting IMO, especially if it's creative and doesn't follow the guitar 100% of the time. There are many instances in which doubling the...
I recently got a 2022 Pro King V, made in Indo. The main issues I had with it were the fretwork and setup. I don't expect a perfect setup but this was pretty bad. I bought an Epiphone SG for less than $400 a few months ago that had a better setup from the factory. Action was stupid high and the...
I have several Neural plugins and a FM3. Do I need the plugins? Hell no. Do they sound as good as the FM3? I don't know...beauty is in the eye of the beholder. When it comes to this stuff, ultimately a good portion is really up to the IR used. Variety is the spice of life when it comes to gear...
