Just changed my .74 to a .79--still very flabby. Circle k strings are good, but I wish I didn't have to unwind the dang strings. Who makes a better string. And how can I raise just the low e, or I guess f#, tuned down to e, per tobins suggestion. Much easier for barring power chords way...

Can't vouch for if they're better or not, but at least circle ks fit my 28 inch...I heard the daddarios aren't long enough...circle k strings come hand packaged too, and someone writes in the gauges for a nice personal touch.

Keep in mind, when the overdive is on I get AMAZING distorion, very sonically clear. Just no soft, or clean. Thrugh zoom I get an amazing overly processed nin sound that's pretty cool, but I can't write songs in just that one vein, I need the shimmery, soft sounds too to work proper dynamics.

Yes, fiddled around with all the different knob combinations...its a 10 watt rogue. Without volume the sound just disappears, but even at the lowesr audible setting I get guitar pop and fizzle. How do I use eq, and would that work somehow?
