Ever heard space synth mixed with death metal?

Thank you, I'm glad you noticed the effort I've put into it! :D Thanks, they're both a source of great pride, haha! Well, not really, at least not by my definition. Industrial holds a certain sound characteristic too aside from what instruments you use; hard, sharp, very distorted and...

Ever heard space synth mixed with death metal?

Never heard actually, but I'll be sure to check it out. Glad you like the song! :D

Ever heard space synth mixed with death metal?

So, I finally finished something I've been working on for quite a while. It's a strange, strange piece, but I'm satisfied. There's more info in the description. Let me know what you guys think. :D https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h1TVDbzSMNE

NBD: Woodo B6 Black Walnut (brace for erection)

Well, Woodo has been known to produce their share of lemons, from what I've heard. Sorry to hear about your negative experiences. :( Regarding the neck, it might not be that surprising. After all, people have very different opinions of optimal neck shape, thickness, etc. To me, it seems fine...

    Fretless Bass amps

+ 1. I'm also primarily a guitarist, but I own one of those, and it's always sounded great, regardless of what kind of bass I've run through it.

Fun black metal songs for bass?

+ 1 Nice to see these rather obscure classics pop up in here! Definitely a very underrated band. Another band that might be interesting (also incredibly underrated) is Kvist. They only made one album, although epic. They've got some interesting bass lines going on for sure. The bass is very...

NBD: Woodo B6 Black Walnut (brace for erection)

So, I've been in desperate need of a reliable and well-sounding bass for quite a while now. My old, beat-up relics I've used up until now just doesn't cut it when compared to the rest of my recording gear. So... I went native and bought myself a Woodo bass. PICTURES! Woodo - Imgur The morning...

    NGD-First 8 string!

Man, that is one sexy guitar. I have a strong proclivity for maple fretboards, so this really makes my GAS tingle. :D Great buy!

    Question for 8 stringers!

Going the extra step from 7 to 8 meant a world of difference to me. Inspiration just started flowing, especially for clean pieces. The chord voicing options are immense on an 8-string. Try it, I seriously doubt you'd be disappointed! :D

That's some serious guitar porn right there, man. Awesome! :D

    NGD: Schecter Blackjack SLS C-8

Man, DAT TONE! Sounds awesome, great work! :D I'll see if I can get my hands on a set of those, doubt we have them over here though.

    NGD: Schecter Blackjack SLS C-8

I didn't mean to criticize the neck - as you point out, one can expect that adjustments need to be done, and I adjusted the trussrod accordingly. The neck has shown great stability and only moved ever so slightly. It's the whole part with the screws being way too short that kind of bums me out...

    NGD: Schecter Blackjack SLS C-8

Having owned the guitar for a while now, I can honestly say that I am still as pleased as when I got it. Great instrument! I have to issue a slight warning regarding string gauges and intonation though. I switched from factory standard (09-12-16-26-36-46-64-80) to a new DR set...

Gave my B8 a little Facelift.

F***ing ace! It looks positively stellar! I may a bit biased though, having a strong proclivity for black guitars with gold hardware, hehe. The white X's adds a nice touch as well!

Wax On, Wax Off: A Fundamental Guide to Sweep Picking

Awesome lesson! Your approach to practice is sound and logical. Very methodical. Great work! :)

How do you divide your practice time for it to be efficient and effective?

Like many others, I don't really have an organized routine. I break out the metronome, and warm my fingers up with some chromatic runs up and down the fretboard in different octaves. This is followed by some stretching, like 3-string arpeggios ending in hammer ons and pull offs, where I...

    NGD: Schecter Blackjack SLS C-8

After careful consideration and some discussion in my previous thread, I went ahead and ordered this beautiful instrument. Quick delivery, considering it came from Germany, just three days. Thomann lives up to the standard. :D Pictures (hope the link works): Schecter - Imgur It came out of...

    NGD - RAN FF8 deliciousness

Oh my god... If I saw that sexy beast up close, I'd probably pitch a tent worthy the best of scouts. Outright amazing. I wonder what the deal is with cats and hardcases, even when the latter are closed. I regularly find my cat chilling in my cases as well. The only ones he won't touch are...

Sweep Picking Guide - Do YOU want it?

I'd love to see the lesson as well. One can never practice and refine one's sweep picking enough, I guess. :D

    Schecter vs. Ibanez vs. Agile

Have you considered Lundgren M8's? I've heard the M7's in action, and they are positively divine. I'm getting a pair for my BC Rich Jr. V 7, and probably a pair of M8's for the Schecter later on. They are a little expensive, but well worth it, imo.
