I'd suggest an Ibanez RGD2127FX. New it's maybe the double of your $800, since it's a Prestige model, but maybe you could find a used one for a good price? Or maybe the cheaper version, the RGD7421 which should be within your budget. Both would need a change of pickups, but that's something that...

That was one of the reasons also for me deciding on the F7's and not the HS8's, forgot to mention that. I've had monitors before with the port back towards the wall and it didn't really work that well for me, it might be different for others though.
