THX! It's not really an 8 but the logo of my solo project (I'm pretty bad for inlays...) I'm on the way for the sound test, but I have a lack of inspiration (if you have a remedy, I'll take it ! ;) ) The Alumitone X-bar have a huge wide range of frequencies, very versatile, and pretty...
The guitar sings guys !!! It only needs the electronic plate ! Finishing with Tru Oil is absolutely THE fiinish. You can really get a high gloss or satin finish ! Really love that ! So here's the lady ! I will make a video test that I'll post on my facebook page! Let take a look!
The big work is achieved !! Heel re-worked, routs are done, body carved... Let's take a look !! The carving was done with a gouge and an eccentric sand machine. The poplar burl is difficult to work because of the random grain. The poplar get off close to the bubinga so.... sanding ...
A friend of mine did a bass with a blue stain finish and oil (not tru oil but it's the same base) You're right for the water based stain, it evaporate and leave the color. But the color don't really stay in the time 'cause the finish stau a little bit sticky. Try epxoy finish. It's easy to use...
Ok guys, I don't build as faster as Pondman but it's not stopped ! SO we have 1 pickup rout I wonder if I work the heel again... to make something smoother. But I'm a little just around the electronic cavity area... Any suggestions ?

Handtool work just amazing !!!! Congrat's :D I wondering if I do bevels or carving on my guitar... No more reflections carving is the way ! Thank's

Totally agreed with you! that's the grain. You can use lemon oil too and prevent the moisture by using very fine steel whole (0000 or 00000 steel whole) when you apply the oil. But before it cracks, you can wait a very biiiiiiiig lifetime ! 'Cause it's glued so it prevents cracks.... The wood is...
