PSA: The seller finally caved. He's had this listed at ¥450,000 for months but now the starting bid has been lowered to ¥250,000. if you can get it at ¥250,000, it is a good price given the exchange rate at the moment. 2 days to go and no bidders...

    IA Eklundh leaves Caparison guitars.

They are not known outside of Japan although a few people in the US have heard of their basses. An outfit called Zanshin records booked those NAMM tables and represented quite a few Japanese brands trying to break into the US market.

Recommendations for a first 7 string? What's out there for a Floyded 7 that's not a used Prestige for around $1,500 USD?

Just around $1500 new but you'll need to pay shipping from Japan. Comes with passives but this guitar along with the slightly more expensive Saki model has a battery compartment already routed for those wanting to switch to actives. https://www.digimart.net/cat01/shop4983/DS04940456/

I’m putting some on the two customs I have cooking right now. Then I’m putting some on a few other guitars today. The rest for the future. I don’t have a Klon to compare with. It has done similarities to a Klon. Both use germanium diodes for distortion and internally the input voltage is...
