The Disaster Transport is most likely what will land on the board. Lack of tap tempo has been my only reserve otherwise it'd be a no brainer. I've also been curious to try out the Disaster Transport reissue although I've heard it lacks the darker character of the original.
The Empress delays...
I have two boards. The first is my acoustic board which is small and simple. The second is my main board for electric. It's a work in progress. The latest addition was the EQD Bellows. The board is due for rearranging and maybe an addition or two. I run this in front of my Mesas and don't bother...
Never thought I'd see one of these ever again or remember they once existed. I had one of these GX combo amps when I was younger and hated every second the amp was on. No matter what pedals I threw in front it sounded like a wet cardboard box.
It was loud and could hold its own with a drummer...
I'd imagine if you're familiar with Nick's solo stuff you've already checked out Night Verses, right? He has a heavier side project called Headcave. You'll notice some riffs from his YouTube videos turned into Headcave songs.
He's been one of my favorite guitarists since stumbling across Night...
I finally got around to rewatching Martyrs (the original) since it doesn't pop up on streaming services very often. It's been one of my top movies ever since seeing it when it first came out. It was a little more intense than I remembered it being. It's still one of a kind. I've yet to see...
I watched Telemarketers on HBO. What a journey that was. I'm surprised they tried going as far as they did. It was a losing battle from the start but really interesting to watch.
I'm also still midway through rewatching Twin Peaks season 3. I take long breaks between each episode knowing the...
That's rough. Skipping MDM profiles sounds dreadful, especially for a higher license count. I couldn't imagine having to take that on afterward. I'm unfortunately a one man crew for multiple locations. I got through the pandemic as one person, which only hurts myself since expectations have...
That's pretty bad. MDM is such a simple thing. Crazy that's a bottleneck. A lot of outside IT vendors are painful to deal with. They're specialty is trying to pawn off the work to someone else as if it's not their responsibility. Even getting a response is ridiculously time consuming. And this...
Sounds like what I run into multiple times a day. Do you happen to work in healthcare, too? If you don't, don't make the switch to healthcare. Incompetence and lack of common sense is scarily all too common in that field. You'll find yourself questioning why you didn't get out on a daily basis.
I've been in a bit of a writing slump. Over the weekend, a random idea popped in my head that I was able to write, record and mix in just a few days. Pretty happy with the end result and that I pushed myself to get this done fairly quickly.
Here's some crust for your ears. Open to any...
That's a tough call between Better Than Ezra and The Presidents of The United of America. 90s kids may or may not know of either.
If you had to lose one of your senses forever, which would it be and why?
Read this in the middle of the night while I was trying to fall asleep and ended up doing a real life lol. I bought Infest the day it came out. I'll never forget the songs on that album or most of Lovehatetrajedy. Didn't really follow them after those two... Yet I saw them live a couple years...
This isn't recent but happened unusually often severy years back when I sold a good amount of gear on CL. Multiple people showed up offering to trade a mountain bike as if I couldn't tell it was a blue light special from yesteryear. I always made it clear I wasn't interested in trades yet...
Made some toast that wasn't toasty enough. I'm already past the point of no return with butter applied to said not-so-toasty toast. Staring at the butter isn't going to melt it more and I'm not about to sog it up by throwing it in the microwave.
I recently got into astronomy and bought a nice setup for visual and imaging. Prior to buying this equipment I never realized how often it rains or is cloudy. I'm lucky if I get to take the scope out once a week. Nearly the entire month of June was a wash between rain, clouds and the Canadian...
I bought this head right before COVID hit and it's pretty much been sitting in a closet since. I used it at home for maybe a total of 3-5 hours, at most. Since COVID I've only been recording and doubt I'll be joining a band anytime soon. It's time to let this amp go no matter how awesome it is...
Why not use both a synth for bass and a real bass? I've done it several times since there's so many possibilities when it comes to mixing. Don't like your DI or recorded bass tone? Slap a synth bass to fill the void. Don't like the synth bass? Scrap it or slap-a-da-bass for real.
