Aww man that's a shame :( I chatted with Patrice back at the 2019 NAMM. Huge guitar nerd like us! And their guitars are incredible.
WTS Vigier GV RARE DISCONTINUED BRAND 10k I know what I got best guitar I ever played.
I've owned 2 Vigiers and both were/are incredible instruments. In-fact I sold tons of guitars but my Vigier GV isn't going anywhere at all.
That being said, I don't believe they do/ever did full customs at all?
If I wanted a customer Superstrat, I'd go yet again to Waghorn. My Corax is 100%...
Congrats! That's an awesome top.
I have 2 KxKs; a 6DC and a 7DC. They're both INCREDIBLE. I don't play and it's not like my 9 months old can play them so I'm having to get rid of them but I am somewhat heartbroken. These are really, really solid guitars.
Way back in late 2011, I was in Paris and found a Vigier Excalibur Ultra Blues for less than 1.5k Euros! (which I did buy and since sold)
US/non-European made guitars are indeed much more expensive. European guitars CAN sometimes be found for better deals than the US... I wouldn't count on it to...
The guitar street is called Rue de Douai, at https://goo.gl/maps/PPNbnMupnzNtwhTNA. Definitely worth the trip though keep in mind guitars in Europe can be a lot more expensive than both Canada and the US.
Stunning :)
Tom's building my #2, but unfortunately between the pandemic, a first baby, and general life, I've not touched a guitar in many years... I hate the idea of getting a closet queen.
But it will definitely be a queen. Waghorns are just stunning instruments and I will never sell my Corax.
I am not there, but there IS a middle-ground between 'warzone' and 'perfect utopia' that still has burnt-out cars, whether due to demonstrations or actual riots.
There ABSOLUTELY have been demonstrations which turned violent and there ABSOLUTELY are suburbs or perhaps, areas of Paris, which...
I lived in Paris over 10 years when I was wee, never seen what you're descriving. This was a while ago.
Foreign media loves to paint Paris as lawless; us French do LOVE to demonstrate. Most demonstrations are not violent. I've kept up with who were demonstrating and in Paris, it's not gangs...
Parisian here, though I've not lived there in a while.
Re: tipping. No. You absolutely DO tip in France, but a) only if the service was good and b) a few euros at most. There is no set percentage value.
No clue why folks told you it was disrespectful. It is not.
What to do. Be polite, even if...
These guys release the album of 2020. Then follow-it up with an EVEN BETTER single. And now this. I can't wait to listen to it; by all logic this should be the world's best metal song.
I actually don't have any good pictures of it... which is sad. Here was the listing I got it from, which has much better pics than I could ever manage! https://reverb.com/item/5180102-kxk-6dc-2013-brown-transparent-flame-maple-bare-knuckle-warpigs
I love my KxK. 6DC, quite lightweight, and sounds huge. I really don't like PRS (I find them plasticky-feeling) so I cannot compare other than say the KxK feels nothing like I've ever experienced PRS to be like, not that I'm an expert.
I basically don't play guitar anymore... but I've not sold...
Classy build!
I have a Waghorn incoming but it's been so long, I barely play guitar now. Like a lot of builders he's been hit by significant delays. But looking at this... it will be epic nonetheless.
Wife and I got a baby exactly 2 weeks ago.
My wife and I both live on different continents than both our families (and our families are on different continents from each other as well). We got married in late 2019. Which means large parts of my family haven't even met my wife. With said baby, we...
