I think the mix it already sounds good. If anything, I'd just make the leads and "electronics" sound wider and more present -- don't really know how, though.
"They may be a little shitty because I haven't mixed in a while and I threw them together quickly but let me know what you think!" I wanna kill you. They sound great IMHO, I can hear everything. There might be too much compression going on for my tastes, though.
It sounds good, the only things I'd change would be: The vocals: present, but they lack the same punch everything else has. The drums: there is something "boomy" about the drums I don't like. (Yeah, I can't speak technically :/)
Well yes, I don't know if I like some of the playing choices here and there, but I still think it's a good composition as there are lots of interesting unobvious sections. Personally, I'd only play less notes, though.
I'm no expert, but pick up big challenges: I stopped using tabs a long time ago and basically everything I learn is either by watching someone else play it or by trying it myself. And, yeah, I think you'll need a lot of time and patience in the process; In some cases, I have spent like an...
u wot m8? Upon hearing I feel obliterated by some outworldish mechanism. I thought of putting four bass strings on my seven and make it a bass, but I didn't have enoguh courage, because... neck tension and all. Maybe later, when I can afford many sevens. Anyways, that's a nice experiment from...
Sonatina is not a VST, it's more like a sound sample library. That means you'll need an .sfz player to run these files through REAPER. I run the rgc:audio sfz VST (whoa) through REAPER, then I open the sound banks and program my MIDI normally on the track. You will need one instance/track of...
Seems like a lot of useful information; I'll read it again in an appropriate time. Could you post samples of what you achieved? I'm all-in for good free stuff, thank you!
That is a sweet composition :o Now, I'd change the bass drum click a bit. Maybe reduce its attack, cut higher frequencies, I don't know. But it sounds good already! "I'm not really satisfied with the mix so I'd love to hear some feedback on this!" What are you not liking, specifically?
I was referring to the "I drowned out all my sense - with" guitar part. From what I hear, you repeat the same sections for these lyrics, when it's actually other thing (take as a reference for the root notes only): >That's what you get When you >let your heart win, >>whoa [...]...
