So many Kemper/Fractal guys seem worried that Line6 is going to make a great product. Wonder why? There are like 3 blooze rock youtube clips and everyone is convinced it won't touch their babies.

Kemper would be useless if tubes disappeared and AxeFx is just pretending (unsuccessfully) to be a bunch of different tube amps.

This makes no sense. If you want to innovate you probably shouldn't be trying to model technology from the early-mid 20th century.

This is a horrible analogy. HD Televisions aren't modelling analog technology. Neither are smart phones. :wallbash:

What? A good tube amp will still be a good tube amp in 20 years. A high end modeler will be obsolete/broken in 10 years.

I recently bought 2 Matamp 4x12s from a guy on craigslist. They are both 16 Ohms cabs. They each have two jacks on the back where you can plug a 1/4 speaker cable. My question is, why are there two inputs? Is there some way I could daisy chain them to both run off of a single 16 ohm amp...

I thought most people who use an OD pedal in front of a high gain amp generally don't use the gain knob anyway. I'm not an expert, though.

Great pedal. It's based on the old Reverend Drivetrain and Drivetrain II (I think Reverend actually sold it to them). I have a Drivetrain II and it's the only OD pedal I've ever liked.

Yeah, I definitey wouldn't be testing out ....ty cabs. I want an Orange, but I'm not sure the place I go to will have them. They'll probably have a least one good 4x12/2x12 combo, though.

Let me rephrase that. I know you can get some thump out of a 2x12, but would I get more of it from a 4x12? I guess I need to take my head to a guitar store and try out a 2x12 and 4x12 version of the same cabinet.

Can you get that chuggy/thumpy power chord sound out of a closed back 2x12? I'm torn between an orange 2x12 and a 4x12 for my rockerverb. I'd rather get the 2x12 because I don't think I need that many speakers, but if it's the only way to get the chug I'll bite the bullet.
