TAD relabels basically every manufactures tubes, so you will find relabeled JJs, New Sensors or Shuguangs. EH and Tung Sol are both made by New Sensor (like Sovtek and others).
I like to use both EH and Tung sol for the V1 Position, depending on the amp. In my opinion, the EH is kinda dark and...
Nope, sorry, i don't record or have any clips. This is just my experience when switching magnets.
But knightbrolaire did a magnet comparison himself on a duncan blackwinter, i stumbled upon it again a few days ago. Considering he kept the big ceramic magnets on the sides and changed between...
Maybe the differences in magnets are subtle for those weaker magnets you mention, but changing between a8 and a9 i would not call the difference subtle
I had one used for a custom build, which i sold because of it. Felt great under the hand, sure, but it had something which always added to the tone and started to annoy me the more i played
The Jupiter is certainly clear, should work very well for that low tuning. It is also pretty powerful, when i first used it i was suprised where i had to set the gain on the amp.
Something to consider would also be the magnet. Alnico 9 is very tight, more so than ceramic, with a brighter high mid grind. so swapping the magnet to A9 would be worth a try additionally.
Hey guys,
maybe a little update after asking you guys for recommendations. So when the Zograf Ravener was mentioned, i got really curious. Unfortunately, there was only very little to be found on youtube and there is no homepage.
But after getting in touch through facebook, and getting some...
About the Gotoh locking nuts, the thickest string that will fit is a 46, (or 47 as it is 1,2 mm), so much for that....
damn, did not know about schaller releasing a nut with a 16 radius. wished for a 14radius though.
OFR had 15 radius locking nuts but the seem discontinued.
Edit: Ok just...
The 1000 series floyd rose locking nuts have a 12" radius, but that is it. Been doing the same search you do a few months ago. The OFR or Schaller stuff all has 10" radius and the only one with 15" seems discontinued.
Tone 5 from Taiwan. That is where i get all my blocks from. 15mm thick, Titanium, steel, aluminium available.
And best part: mounting screw- holes are offset, so you still have your full range.
You can find them on reverb.
Nice to finally see the NFB knob in an KSR amp. Been hoping for ages that they would revision their amps and include these. Or at least an NFB switch.
The New Bogner uberschall has one as well though they call it density.
Mezzabarba has it, peters as @KnightBrolaire stated, my NRG amp has it...
