Big Muff in general is a great pedal, I have little experience with multi-FX but some people swear by them. Best thing would be to try both setups and see what suits you more in terms of ease of use etc.

I'd never knock a "jazz" pickup no more than I'd knock a "metal" one based just on the name or what it's normally used for. If it delivers the goods that's all I'd care about.
Hey Raoul, Thanks for the advice great stuff. I'd ideally like a pickup that does cleans as well as it does heavy stuff. The band I'm currently with has a soft/loud dynamic, so I need Pups that handle both equally well. I do believe that a good clean tone is the basis for everything...
Following on from this thread: http://www.sevenstring.org/forum/sevenstring-guitars/286226-ngd-schecter-omen-extreme-7-a.html have any of you here upgraded the pickups on this exact guitar and if so, how's it been? I read somewhere else that some models of Pups require additional routing...
Well, my first 7 string, looks like Santa came early for me. Love the 26.5" scale and the finish. Got a great deal on it including a hardcase and Schaller straplocks. Got used to the low B in no time at all. Didn't expect there to be a coil tap on this but it's cool. Should I keep...
I live in Ireland and my flat can get cold enough sometimes. that said, I keep all my guitars in their gigbags or cases when I'm not playing them, and always wipe down with a cloth after I play, even if its only for a few minutes. Bit OCD I know but works for me.
It looks like I'm gonna get a Schecter Diamond Series Omen Extreme 7. 2012 model, and the guy is including a hardcase. Xmas is gonna be early for me I think :hbang:
I agree with the above - the stock Pups on these models are more than adequate. I know lads who gig regularly with guitars in this range and everything is stock. Still though you do see a lot of guys putting in aftermarket Pups that are worth more than the guitar.
I'm from Ireland as well, and if you only have 7 days I would highly recommend trying to see Cork and Galway as well, lovely small cities with great atmosphere and history. I'd also go with what a poster above said - definitely try to see the Cliffs of Moher. Dublin offers a lot of guided...
