    Are EMG-X really quieter than EMG?

    Yes, i`ve noticed that too. My EMG808 neck has more hiss/noise than EMG808X Bridge (in the same guitar).

    Ibanez RG2228 Thread

    I am getting annoying fret buzz on the eight string of my Ibanez RG2228 Guitar. Higher 7 strings (E-B) are working properly and tight without fret buzz, only the eight string (F#) makes terrible fret buzz/dead sloppy notes. I use factory 9-65 gauges yet. Could you help me about that ? Thanx !

    I didn`t find any useable informations about avoiding the head diving for those star-shaped guitars on google. Relocating the strap pin on beginning of the neck would solve the problem but it is impossible/anoying because the guitar is neck-through, i need to find other...

    Thanx for the answer. It sounds like quasi-humbucker to me. Something like crossing between singlecoil and humbucker. And it buzzes almost like a singlecoil. Am i right or is something wrong with this pickup ?
