Normally I fret the first and last fret of the neck and check at the 12th fret but lately ive been doing where the body meets the neck and checking around the 8-9th , I'd say the relief...

    that's weird then , All the guitars ive had I could setup so when checking my relief it would barely touch the fret like just a tiny gap , I always eye ball it I never actually mesure it .. What else could affect the relief , nut not cut deep enough ?

The thing is I like my neck dead straight , ive always played my guitars with almost no relief...

    KIESEL DC7X most expensive guitar I bought and the one I liked the less lol I think even my rg8 played just as good Really didnt like the neck profile felt really thicc to me compared to my other 7's , frets were not leveled properly ( couple dead spots ) I owned it for 3 weeks and sold it lol

    cool thanks , the 57-8 has 8 poles though I don't know much about how pickup works but would that be a problem since I have a 7 string ? honestly no idea why jackson put 808 instead of 707 on these models thats weird to me

    check out the jackson js22-7 , great neck and the one I tried played super well also the scale is 26,5'' wich is much better IMO , 25,5'' sucks

    I had a goliath 7 wich has the same fan I think 25.5" - 27.8" and I sold it after a couple of months the fan was too extreme to me a lot of chords and lead stuff felt really weird to play ... ended up getting a jackson slat 7 ff wich has a 25.5 - 27 '' fan and it's a lot more comfortable to play...

    I actually sold mine (RG752WMFX)because of the neck , couldnt play more then 20minutes on it without having crazy hand cramps , no idea why only happened with this guitar , I actually felt like the neck was super chunky compared to my other axes
