I literally just went through this same dilemma last week. Put offers in on a stock galaxy black 652 on eBay and a black 521 with fishmans on reverb. Both with cases. The 521 guy accepted so I ended up with that. The 521 neck feels thicker than the original 570 I used to own but it’s still...
Also jumping on the bandwagon and saying headless guitars. These Vaders, Strandbergs, etc all hipster guitars to me. And of course Chapman guitars. Yea I'm not buying some youtube guitar with signature models based on your friends. I hate the person that posed the picture of a Warrior a...
Looks really awesome. A USA suped up 5150 yea it's gonna be some $$$. Maybe I should have waited on doing that bathroom remodel... Great that his name's not written on it or anything too. I can't stand that about signature gear.
I had an HT1 and thought it was great. Sold it and bought an HT20 and hated it. I dunno it just wasn't the same. Couldn't stand the overdrive in particular. I constantly fiddled with the settings for months until I eventually gave up. Not for me but I'd recommend a HT1 in a heartbeat for...
For the classical position Warlocks are #1. Had a NJ one that I sold off when I got outta the whole pointy guitar thing but it'll forever remain my most comfortable guitar.
This thing is sick man. I love all black superstrats. Very Hanneman-y. Would take this over an eclipse in a second. I hope you can turn it into a real player.
It depends on what you're gonna play. If you're gonna use the 6505 like every other metalcore guy and djent it (nothing wrong with that) then get the closed back. Better lower bass response for rythym. Personally I prefer the open back with the 6505 and in general. I run a 112 with a v30...
Since you're mostly a play at home guy I'd just stick with the mini and use your money elsewhere. The amp you have now sounds just right for you sound and wattage wise from what your saying. Those are the important things
No kidding. What they did to those guys was real terrible. I can't help but go back to that when I see their amps and usually that stuff doesn't bother me.
I say pass. No reverb and no effects loop. Even if you say you won't use it you never know and it's nice to have the option. For the price your paying for the Marshall name. You can get similar tones for cheaper elsewhere
A 1 watt tube amp will still be very loud. You'll be able to turn the knob past .5 but you won't be cranking it in an apartment. That being said I like both. Some people will bash Blackstar all day but I think they're making the best affordable low watt rock amps out there.
