Ohmura is reasonably popular in guitar technique communities (all 1 of them, I guess), because he is insane, and has a weird enough technique to be of interest. Look at this fkin thing from 15 years ago:
Tremendous respect to anyone building stuff with their hands, honestly.
I've been wanting to build a guitar for a while, got a copy of ...whatever that guitar-building book is, collected a bunch of plans, even found out a co-worker had a woodworking shop.
Went over, got a brief lesson on how...
Huh, so apparently Schecter Sunset-7 Extreme is a thing?
Looks to be the John Browne Tao body, but less expensive:
At first thought it was the KM-7 MK II body but that one has less pointy horns.
Realistically, if I haven't been able to afford a cool superstrat from a major company's production line (and I haven't), there's no way I'd be able to afford a dream guitar built by a luthier, so little point in me throwing suggestions out there.
But, if you somehow end up with a 27-inch...
I was part of the GOC Materia run. Checking my Gmail, by Sept-2019 I already had the guitar, and I got the pickups in Jun-2021.
I did chase Guitarmory throughout, because I had to move in early 2020, and wanted to make sure they had the new address.
So uh... yeah. With everything discussed in...
I absolutely adore Alkaloid, so pretty hyped.
Don't think this album will surpass Liquid Anatomy for me, but any new material from them is good, so win/win.
I find it adorable how people fear looking dorky with a headless, as if any living soul will ever watch them play
Actual downsides of headless guitars:
- Hardware can be meh
- Hangers and stands
- I don't own enough of them
- I can't play the single one I do own, because I am bad at guitar
I really like the green one
Not quite sure why Schecter decided that the initial version should be in a lovely "Our Precious Bodily Fluids White" colour, but, hey.
Normally I'd understand where you're coming from
However
Teuffel deserves to be in this thread more than 3/4s of the "I won't let my peg leg and pirate hook stop me from pursuing my dream to build guitars" objects posted here
Everyone now and again I'll randomly remember "Oh, right, the Suhr Neon Drip is a thing that exists!"
These moments make me happy that it exists, and sad that it exists at a price.
Truly, we live in a society
I wouldn't really blink an eye if all music reaction vids disappeared overnight, but the Firearms Expert Reacts videos I find genuinely enjoyable. Maybe because I love videogames and have 0 clue about real-life guns, no idea.
I mean - look at it, dude's got a stone-age gun on hand, AND he isn't...
