First got into Arsis when Celebration of Guilt got a perfect review from the site metalreview.com, glad to see they are still making music and I like what I hear so far of the new album. Are the guitars still 6-string in D-standard?
Metal Archives has an app that makes browsing on a mobile device "slightly" easier, it is still a bit of a pain. I have used M-A for something like 15 years and it is still my go-to site when trying to find information about a band. I never used the forums however. My main complaint about M-A...
+1 for Winterfylleth, especially The Threnody of Triumph and on Though not really atmospheric, here are some others I can think of: More recent albums from Borknagar/Vintersorg Carach Angren Agalloch Alcest Negura Bunget - Om: I would not say it's 'clean' production but it really is an...
Though not female fronted, I usually end up listening to falconer(self-titled or Chapters from a Vale Forlorn) and 3 inches of blood(Advance and Vanquish) when I need to scratch that itch of similar power metal. I'm going to see Unleash the Archers live for the first time in 2 days, i'm pretty...
I am a huge fan of King of all Kings but the newer albums I have trouble staying interested in the constant blastfest. Also it is funny how Hate Eternal just seems to find ridiculous drummers like they grow on trees.
I have the Mooer Radar and Mooer 011 micro preamp and have been very pleased with both. They knob hardware is a bit average but that's the only complaint I have.
It depends on what you consider private, I don't consider my email address(associated with my FB account) private but I also don't want it provided to advertising companies to spam my email or be targeted in any way. Of course you can also have location tracking enabled on Facebook on your...
I deleted the app off my phone, primarily as a way to avoid looking at facebook randomly throughout the day when I could be making better use of time. From a privacy perspective, I feel if I do these things I will be in a much better situation than the average Facebook user and still be able to...
Not sure if it was mentioned but the new Bleed From Within album is solid. I just created a playlist with this, the new agony scene, light this city and bleeding through
I've never understood why the production on each Obscura album sounds so weak, it just does not complement the band's impressive technical skills in my opinion. I find myself going back to Necrophagist - Epitaph instead.
It was only recently that all/most of Blind Guardian's discography appeared on Spotify, I still think the old albums sound just fine and don't see the need for a remix/remaster, but maybe someone will buy them?
