Found this quote from Frank himself:
"I use a .010 gauge set for the bottom four strings, starting with the A string, and for the top two strings I use the D and G strings from a set of .009s. So gauge-wise, low-tohigh, it is .036, .026, .017, .013, .024, .016. It takes a moment to get used to...
Not sure if the Akerfeldt would be a "worship band" guitar. Reminds me of the time I was on a roadtrip with my cousins in Poland, both of which are religious (one is actually in a seminary to become a priest!) and I had control of the stereo... I was letting it go through my playlist at random...

The terms get kind of confused and used interchangeably, but from my perspective economy picking just deals with pick direction. You can still have an individual stroke for each note that you play. Sweep picking is playing notes on adjacent strings in a single motion.
Anything below 12” is basically unplayable for me. Just used to my fretboards being quite flat. My Vigier Shawn Lane has no (or infinite) radius, completely flat. Just love the feel of that.
After the way he dealt with Riff City and his otherwise shitty personality I wouldn't even bother looking at any of his stuff. It's made in the same factories as a lot of other great brands that don't do that kind of shit, so why not just buy one of theirs instead.
I keep seeing this on in-stock guitars, what's the deal? Did they just make them before they put this rule into place?
RMN - Roasted Maple Neck
THNN - Thinner Neck Profile (not available with Roasted Neck options)
To me the neck profile feels very much like the RG2228, I felt right at home as soon as I picked up the guitar for the first time. No problems at all with the neck width..
I have the RG2228 as well as an Zeus Z8X with the thinner neck profile. I would say the neck profile is fairly comparable to the RG2228. Not exactly the same but it didn't really take me any adjustment. In fact it was more similar than my Ibanez M80M which was basically flat for most of it and...
You can get them through any Ibanez retailer. They will order them through the national distributor. Here in Canada I just go to my local Long & McQuade store and ask them to order Ibanez parts if I ever need them. Can order everything right down to specific screws. Ibanez has a catalog on their...
