I always end up using red channel that doesn't need boost. But if I boost blue channel from time to time I use Boss sd-1 or Maxon od808. Maybe MXR custom badass.
I'm just spoiled by ENGLs because they have soooooo good master volume, that playing them at bedroom levels is a piece of cake. Controls are NOT touch sensitive so you can easily add or reduce volume by small increments.
Unfortunately that is not the case with 5150, 6505+ or even EVH 5150 50W...
I'm looking to order guitar from Muziker because is out of stock on Thoman. Does anybody have any experience with Muziker? I'm kinda hesitating because it's expensive order and not really sure if Muziker is on the same level as thomann. Its not only sending items but is also how they handle...
Suffocation have amp settings that screams a big no-no among "purists" - aka as little gain as possible. Yet they max gain on lead channel (6505+) and boost it with maxons (not just clean boost, they add some gain via pedal). And they still have good tight live sound that is not muddy.
I was hooping that they would say some positive things about Roope but nope. Just that Alexi fired him and that is it. They didn't even have a saying in this apparently.
I really like the song and video. Nice melody :)
Nice amps also especially ENGL but I have a feeling it's collateral damage as Jasper probably didn't want to expose his 5150 to rain :D I doubt he would suddenly use ENGL after all those years or using 5150 :)
Plot: Two friends try to form a heavy metal band with a cellist for the Battle of the Bands.
p.s. Nice gear > Jackson guitar and EVH 5150 amps :)
April 8 on Netflix
Sorry, It's Bluguitar Amp 1 Iridium :) I like the small form factor of a stomp (17cm in length) and will fit my small pedalboard that I'm building. I just want to have amp + fx unit.
Where did you order Morningstar midi controller from? Hope they ship it to EU :) I'm so used to Thomann and is unfortunate that they dont sell Morningstar midi controllers.
I'll just have to go with Line 6 stomp. I'm building pedalboard style mobile rig with Iridium + stomp (channel switching and fx), where fx unit will change channels via midi. If I would use Morningstar midi controller it would be direct to Iridium withouth fx unit :)
I'll be honest and say that I can't believe that Boss approved fx unit where you can't select patches. Its not Harley Benton fx unit for 100 eur, it costs freaking 700 eur.
MS-3 does look good but I'll go woth Line 6 Stomp. Its small form factor that I need for my mobile rig: Iridium + Stomp.
Does anybody know if it's possible to use Boss GT-1000CORE as a 3 button presset mode? Every video I see its one button for preset down, second for preset up and ctrl is for whatever. Is it possible to have it like this?
button 1 -> preset 1
button 2 -> preset 2
button 3 -> preset 3
I checked...
And they have weekly videos demonstrating different sounds and whatnot:
One thing to notice is that Iridium edition has just about enough bass (similar to ENGL Savage) but not huge amount to shake the house :) Like you said it is good for thight high sound but sometime when you play along you...
Probably one of the best midle ground between amp and modeler. Amp 1 Iridium or Mercury
It fits the small pocket of backpack:
Dimensions (W x D x H): 245 x 192 x 68 mm
Weight: 1.2 kg
You can:
- plug headphones (no need to connect it to speakers)
- connect to monitors (built in speaker...
