Tnx guys! I wasn’t expecting comments this good! About some finished recordings... I used to play drums in this band, but then moved to guitars because the main (and only) guitar player quit the band, and we had a friend that could go for my position. Then this friend had to work and study...
Hello there guys,
A couple of months ago I got my first seven string and couldn't help wanting more. Recently I've been recording some demos for my band, and playing in drop A is pure pleasure:
The guitar on the left is a lefty Hellraiser C7 (stock). The other one is a lefty Schecter Omen 7...
A little sample (kind of overproduced, but meh), powered by lefty Intrepid pro!:

That's EXACTLY the way I was thinking about this (way too geeky, btw). Anyway – there’s too many variables and I think it’s impossible to get that study done. So what I say is:
do until user_satisfaction = 1
try_guitars
loop:lol:
Does anyone know what real gouges are the stock strings? Because in rondo site it says "String gauges: .009, .012, .015, .022, .030, .040, .054, .072", but I don't feel the bottom F# tight enough like it should be with a .072.
It's here!
I'm very happy about this one. The finish is very good, no problems/chops/whatever there :D. It's been set up pretty good, though I'm sure that it's gonna need some work when I change the strings. I think it will be a little hard to get used to scale, but that's no problem.
I don't know why everybody hates the Hellraiser's neck so much. As far as I know, the 2008 models have a thinner one. I have one of those and can play as smooth as with my other guitars (Ibby RG370DX, Bc Rich Warlock, Schecter Omen 7, etc).
Nope, they are not bad, it's just that they work very well for that sterile high gain sound (which I love) that emg is known for, and fail in other areas. I would not want to use them for cleans or refined sounds.
