Fender amps are underrated as metal amps. You get classic fender clean and with the right pedal or rack unit in front of it can sound absolutely crushing. Lots of headroom to do cool stuff with effects. Speaker dependent of course, and depending on the tone your going for your milage may vary...
Yeah, I didn't think it would have any issue with logic, I'm just wondering if there are any benefits from using a full presonus setup. Like if Studio One gives extra features to a presonus interface (additional control / speed / features) that you wouldn't get with a different interface or DAW...
I was just looking at those quantum's earlier today because I eventually want upgrade my interface. I'm assuming you use studio one? Any extra benefit from using studio one with a presonus interface (versus say logic with a quantum)?
Couldn't agree with you more. I'd add - when TH3 or THU goes on sale it's a much better bang for the buck (I paid $135 for the max TH3 version).
That said - let me follow up to my previous post - I finally got Bias FX 2 demo to run on my computer (it was an Mac OS thing that was easily fixed)...
Just tried to install the demo to see how it's been improved. Downloads and installs fine, but both the plug in and stand alone version get stuck on the loading screen with no interface and no option to do anything but quit. Sent a email to their help desk, but I have low expectations since I'm...
Yeah, no - I want them to age and show their use. If we're talking just aesthetics - one of the biggest bummers (for me) of modern manufacturing techniques is the use of thick poly finishes. They don't wear the same way as old nitro finishes. Not that the chipping is bad, but there something...
I really like that finish! Nick from Mutoid Man plays that in a bass form. Honestly, if the zebra didn't have sentimental meaning to me, I'd say I like one more. Thankfully there is plenty of room in the world for weirdly painted, pointy guitars.
I honestly never realized how rare the finish was until I started looking for one. You can find a ZZ with typical paint jobs fairly easy - they're not abundant, but they're out there. The zebra is a different beast all together - they just don't come up often. The black and white is more common...
HAPPY DAYS! Listen, I know it's ridiculous, but it's ridiculous in all the right ways. I also realize that some folks will want to post this in the "Some guitars are too ugly not to post" thread - totally fine with that. I still love it because it brings back some good memories.
I've been...
Interesting - is the demo full featured for a limited time or does it do that annoying cut out every 30 seconds thing? I was just thinking about this the other night - I had heard a couple other demos and figured I would do the same as you did. I'm a TH3 user as well, if it can compare to that...
Both of those are good pieces of kit, but neither is under the $300 budget the OP has mentioned. The Two Notes Torpedo Captor would fit the budget and get the job done as mentioned earlier in this thread.
Here's my super budget recommendation:
Audio Interface: Behringer U-Phoria (any of the U-Phoria models, your choice of how many ins and outs you need)
Price: $99 - $150
I have the UMC404HD - it's great. Everyone will recommend the Focusrite stuff, and it's good, but the Behringer U-Phoria is...
+1 for Interface / Amp Sim / DAW
Some great sims out there - Fortin, TH3 are my go to. Heard good things about Blue Cat. Mercurial stuff is good, Scuffam has a good rep but haven't tried.
You can use Reaper as your DAW and that's basically free, although I hear it has a bit of a learning curve...
Side rant: I'm a Mac guy that absolutely hates what apple has done with the hardware. I don't mind paying a slight premium because I prefer their OS, but their setups are limiting. There is not a standard desktop in their line up and that's a shame. The iMacs are cool, but I don't want their...
Not that this will solve the overall problem, I've been using high capacity, rechargeable 9v batteries with my fluence and they last a long time. I've got 3 of them, 2 always on a charger so that I can swap quickly.
