I love Altar of Plagues, their production varies so much from record to record which I think makes them much more interesting to listen to. Sol I think would be the closest to what I'm trying to get at, if I had to pick an album by just them.

Maybe like a more modern version of this production... or as best as I can do with the samples and not a real kit.

Agreed, it's so hard to make those drum samples sound... not as good lol. I turned off all the mics besides the overheads and the kick, which I EQ'ed some of the low end out of. So I pretty much just used the OH and the ambient mics, threw on Waves' Vintage Compressor, an analog tape emulator...

I was trying to make the ping sound stand out in the snare, which is why it's sitting above the guitars in that way. The snare is my favorite part, combined 2 different snare drums in superior to get that sound. And fuck yeah that sample makes the track hahaha.

Good god damn, what did you use for the guitar tone? This is produced amazingly well, though the kick isn't to my liking.

Not bad, the blasts were a bit mechanical, but that's hard to avoid. That Army of Darkness sample was a good choice :D THANK YOU for not compressing the shit out of this, it sounds much better than your other stuff.
