I'll chime in on this. I too was considering a Powerball. Then I started looking at the Savage and Invader. While I was very pleased with the Invader, I have since decided to go the Savage 120 route. I think it'll get me where I want to be.

I've got a Pod XT Pro actually, but I do want to go tube. I actually have been looking into the Powerball, but I've heard it's too "compressed". Not sure if there is any merit to that claim. I really wish I could sit down with all these amps and just mess with them for a while....ugh.
