Did a quick photoshop of the DK1A. I removed the godawful graphic. Not baaaad...if a cheap used one comes up in the future, I might just repaint the body.
You had a JP2C or an MI Audio Megalith right? How would you compare those to the Uber Ultra? Especially, the Megalith. In my mind, they have that same German sound and the Megalith also had a quick and tight response while having huge low end.
Man, looks like I'm the only one here that likes the AHB1.:lol:
I came from 81s, HetSets, Fluence, and the Blackout is the exact opposite of an EMG 81. They kinda sound like Invaders, too. Which is cool.
Yeah. I agree, definitely a lot of Music Man JP XI vibes in those bevels. Even the SL27 Concept series have that JP bevels and even the control layout is like his Ibanez JPM.
I got so anxious with kid clutter during Covid that I bought a dedicated small bag vaccum for all the LEGOS!!!! lmao
Even the guitar cables lying by the side of my amp triggers me.
I can't even imagine owning more than 10 guitars and 5 cabs and 10+ heads. My maximum is 4 heads and 2 4x12 cabs. 1 other beat up 4x12 cab I keep in the garage for studio and gig days. That's it. Anything more, I get itchy and anxious seeing the clutter. I think if the anxiousness to clutter is...
Seymour Duncan would have made more money if they did a release of the Blackouts Machete in 6, 7, and 8 string format. It's way better than the Retributions and i think more people would pay for those than a Damocles (which doesn't even have a different look to the vanilla blackouts).
The...
That's why it was awesome seeing the Petrucci solo tour with Portnoy. Just the two of them jamming it out. I never paid for an actual DT show even though they always play in my city. I would probably doze off.
Just removed the EMGs and cleaned up the gunked and tarnished sterling silver inlays on my SL2H. These inlays were hard to polish. Now they look nice and shiny with the SS frets!
Feels brand spankin new.
How would you compare the low/mids voicing of the Black Winter vs the Distortion? I also removed the Black winter in a Soloist and went back to my Invaders. Didn't quite like the high end on the Black Winters.
True. I had an Edwards John Sykes before and it played like an ESP Eclipse: Fast, light, and stayed in tune. I just wish they did mother of pearl blocks like Fujigen LPCs.
The Epiphone Insipred by Gibson stuff are great. I played the white SG Custom and a Black LPC. The QC is clean-- nothing bad sticks out. The ebony board felt a bit dry but it looked like they dyed it just enough to make it blacker. You can see the streaks if you look close enough. The pearl...
