has anyone done this before? i know people tune B-A on 8 strings with gary goodman's strings. would it be possible to do EADGBEA or EADGCEA on my ibanez 7? would it need a lot of truss rod adjustment? thanks

i don't know what you use each of the guitars for, but i'd try blackouts. i did, and they shread faces. the only downfall in my opinion is that you can't coil tap them :S. but if you roll off the vol a bit and play on the bidge pup they can have a really nice clean sound.

well i'll have to wait to get a hold of my dad's camera again, but ill try to get it as soon as possible. i tried adjusting the trem angle so that it does touch the bar, and the trem seems to work a lot better. it's just that the angle seems funny. is it dangerous in any way if i keep my guitar...
