Thanks for the input... I'll definately check out some literature on mixing drums. Might need to look into an expansion or two for ezdrummer2. The stock sounds are kind of meh.
Did a different mix of the unfinished recording today.... think it sounds a good bit better. Got rid of the quad tracked guitars and stuck with just two one hard left and hard right.... drums are just stock ez drummer drums programmed by myself. Ibanez 1527 with a blaze neck in the bridge going...
So after putting a little home recording setup together I've gotten around to doing some recording and would like a little feedback if it's not too much trouble... It's an unfinished Keith Merrow sea nymph cover. Don't mind the sub par guitar playing, I'm just a hobbyist having some fun and...
I'll be in the same boat as you having never messed with any drum modeling software at all. Pretty stoked about hit aswell. Still kicking around the idea of getting ez-drummer 2, but not counting out the possibility of stepping it up to superior.
As promised now that I've finally got. Little recording setup put together I made my first ever mic'd amp ( 6505 ) recording :-) and I'm in love. First shot at it sounds light years better than anything I've ever done with amp sims. Signal chain: Ibanez Apex 100 Boss ns2 Ibanez ts9...
Thanks for the clarification. Agreed about the name. Looks like a typical chapman guitar. Nothing to fancy whith an emphasis on build quality over looks.
He had talked about the ghost fret guitar as being fretted on the three bass side strings and fretless on the upper three. Wether or not it ends up that way is yet to be seen.
I wasn't really sure where to post this, nor was I very sure if had been posted previously, but I found the video quite interesting, and almost exactly what I had pictured in my mind about modern mass production of guitars. Also, this aswell...
Ibanez all the way here. I've got a 96' rg 570, my first guitar, and it's amazing. I actually sold it once, and bought it back a few years later because I had such a hard time finding a replacement. There's something about the mij ibbies from the 90's that is just magical. Get the ibby
One of my friends a bit ago had a coffee table that looked like that top and I absoutley loved it. It was just a thick arse slice of redwood with a thick epoxy clear coat on it, bark and all. Loved that thing. Love this guitar too even tho I don't mesh well with tom style bridges. Nice work!
IMHO... Awesome foundation for some ripping vocals. Agreed a bit about with the others about the mix down, but that wouldn't be hard to change. I like the tune a lot otherwise. I almost hate to say it bug if sounds like a djenty ballad.... Needs some soloist melody and vocals to really make it...
First.. About 12 years ago with my band in high school " played bass at the time, but wrote most of the guitar parts with our lead guitarist( my best friend at the time ) SoundClick artist: LetsKillKevy - page with MP3 music downloads And the last... Spent one of my few days off recording a...
+1 for sure. Being a busy chef and having next to no time to dedicate to hard core practice, learning Keith's tunes and now some of the conqoring dystopia stuff has done a lot to improve my playing and it's been a ton of fun and sounds gnarly. Also some of petrucci's 7-string riffage isn't too...
I love you, and hate you for this.... I regret selling my white 1527 every day, even more so when I see one on here. Thankfully I didn't let go of my blue one, but I'll be damned if my white 1527 wasn't the best playing/sounding ( after big brass block, and paf 7's ) guitar that I've ever heard...
I would have to agree. The blaze does sound pretty d@mn good in an alder bodied guitar. Very thumpy but still clear and articulate. Very unlike most of the opinions of the blaze that I've read previously. I've got a 6505 going through an orange 2-12, tube screamer, mxr comp( don't use it much...
Nothing yet as I'm sans recording equipment, but I'm working on putting something together by the middle of next year or so, I could just go through the line6 x3 live into audacity but to be honest I've never gotten a tone out of it that I really liked and it just wouldn't do this guitar any...
Agreed 100%. I actually just recently bought back my first guitar, a 96' rg 570, that I refinished, and re-pickuped' with an evo in the bridge and breed in the neck, from the friend that I sold it to to help fund my japanese kitchen cutlery addiction. I regretted it so much after a year or so...
It's been a loooong time since I've been able share a ngd and this is a little belated as I've had the guitar for a few weeks now, but better late than never. I got the guitar from Rich over at Ibanezrules as a "second stock" guitar but aside from a small chip in the finish the guitar is just...
I might be a minority but I've never seen a yellow satin, or gloss burst flame maple finish and I'd certainly dig that. Always a sucker for a sexy purple or blue aswell.
