Since moving to mac few months ago, I lost several important go-to plugins that I use for mixing and mastering. Thus, I decided to restart my workflow from ground-up and here's the result.
I am using the stems from Brandon Garrison who did a cover of this song, and I use all the MIDI and DI to...
Since all these lockdown and distancing due to Covid-19, I've been working on my mixing and mastering skill. This is my take on Monument's song "I, The Destroyer", and I'm using:
Drums: GGD Matt Halpern pack
Bass: Halfmoon ABZ5 Dingwall sample
Guitar: Sterling by Musicman JP70D
Preamp: Axe-Fx...

Hey guys! In the middle of recording an album/ep and getting my mix ready.
Honest opinion - is this tone (Axe Ultra) and mix/master adequate for breaking through the mud in your opinion?
Came back after 6 long years to hear some thoughts from some of...
Hey guys,
here is some new track off of my upcoming EP that is almost finished :)
For the guitars I used my Jackson HT7 into a Hyperluminal Compressor followed by the Precision Drive right into the AxeFxII.
Same goes bass but as a preamp I used the Darkglass Alpha Omega and later sent DI and...
This song was a song that some big youtubers got together for and recorded for the OIART mix contest. Trey from Gear Gods and Adam Neely also played in the song. I was really surprised at how well Trey's vocals were. I hardly had to do anything to do; they sounded great on their own.
Instrumental cover and mix "Doomsday", last Architects single. All the raw tracks and MIDI are available at the link in description!

hi, i will be blessed with the chance to meet keith merrow and jeff loomis (conquering dystopia) next month as a part of their master class and the place said they encourage us bringing things for them to sign (YAY)

Just finished remixing/remastering an old song of mine.
It would be great if I could get some feedback from some of you guys on both the mix and the master!
I personally like the mix very much, but I'm having trouble getting the master on the right volume without sounding too smashed...
The premaster or final mix that you are ready to master has always be very cloudy to me and I was wondering what you guys think about this. I have heard many different engineers say many different strategies they use to master their tracks. Before some one jumps in and says "Hire a mastering...
still need to add bass/vocals and bump up the humanizing plugin on the drums a lot. id like the guitars to be a bit more "in your face". what do you think so far though? i dont think its half bad. really thinking about just recording/mixing/mastering my bands album myself. soundcloud link below...
I've decided to start getting into audio engineering full-time and I've dying for some material to work on. I record my own songs as well but the recording and writing is extremely time consuming and I find that my ears get biased very quick. If anyone is interested in having their songs mixed...
My band MONARCH just released this song and i'd really like to get a crit on this mix. used the TSE50x plug-in and an Agile 727

So I thought I'd try something other than metal for a change and this is what happened. I feel it came out pretty well.
Let me know if there's anything i could do to make it better! and on a side note, is this something you would jam out to. I might take this style into a full...
I need to re-learn the basics after a very long period without practising (and it would never hurt nonetheless, as i'm self-taught and i always have weaknesses here and there).
I stumbled upon this instructional course by Gibson, as it seems pretty all-comprehensive.
I'm asking to anyone that...
Here's a clip of a song i recorded to help me experiment with mixing. let me know of anything i can do/use to improve and i'll be happy to answer any questions as far as what i am using in the mix. Thanks!

I'm mixing and then mastering my bands new song and i want some outside opinions on how it sounds. feel free to suggest anything i could do to make it sound better too!
