    Bare Knuckle potentiometers

I've been looking at getting a bunch of the Bare Knuckle CTS pots and was wondering if any has had any experience with them compared to normal CTS pots? It mentions on their site for their 550K pots that "The increased resistance over standard 500K pots opens out the upper frequency range and...

Is it just or me is me pedal faulty?? - EQD Acapulco Gold OD Pedal

Hey everyone, I recently acquired an Earthquaker Devices Acapulco Gold overdrive pedal. Running this through a Fender Deluxe is magnificent. Super buttery, creamy overdrive. However, it seems to be quite finicky in terms of function. The pot seems to not be linear at all. If you move it up...

Looking for specific type of pot, don't know what to search for

Hey all, I'm looking for a specific type of pot for my Partscaster. My Ibanez S1520FB has a volume pot that has a "notch" in it where it'll click at ~50%, making it really easy to switch between full volume, half volume, and off. However, when I search for "notched guitar pot", I can't find any...

Need help with MojoTone CTS pot wiring

How do you wire TWO humbuckers to be coil-split by one of these? I purchased one of these MojoTone CTS DPDT Push-Pull pots. There's only one wiring diagram I found which doesn't answer my question. Maybe this makes sense for the more electrically inclined

Long split shaft or short split shaft Pot?

Noob here, which type of pots do I need if I'm planning to switch out the pots in my RG8 for a coil split sound with new pickups? I can see one is longer/bigger than the other, or is there more to the difference than meets the eye? I'd greatly appreciate any help.

    Pickup Problem, any help???

    Slow turning pots?

Hey! I need to buy a new volume pot for my ibby 7621 becuase of the current potentiometer is to easy to turn. That may be a good thing for some, but for me it isnt. I'm playing too aggressive (not that aggressive), and that ends up with me and some lower volume=less gain/power from the...

Some kind of replacement for a tone knob

I was just fiddling with the tone knob on my Soloist, and as it turns out, it doesn't work  And rather than just replacing it with a bland old tone knob, I want to make it something more useful, although I'm not sure what that is yet. Can someone point me in the right direction...

    Soldering on to pots failure

How on earth do you get wires to stick on to potentiometer casings? I've lightly sanded the back, put solder on first, tinned the wire, added more solder, let it cool and then made ape-like noises when it immediately lifts back off again :pissed: . This keeps happening over and over so I'm sure...
