I just have to share some awesome news. My band's been given ~1800$ to support our debut album. We're part of a musicians organazation (called KODA) that help out promising new acts every year with everything from a 100$ to - well 1800$ :) Feels like we've won the lottery :)

As many other struggling artists, we're always short on cash and while we would like to pour some money into a music video, it just couldn't happen with our latest recording costing us almost 5.000 $. We just launched the EP on our facebook last night, three songs produced and mixed by Jacob...

I am wondering how people feel about pre-recording vids? A struggling band, keeping a handful of fans updated with some vids, even if they're not going to sound like the final recording. Is it a good idea? Would you wait till you actually hit the studio? The thing is, it's difficult to figure...
