Makes sense.
In all honesty I would only apply an octaver sparingly to one of my higher tuned guitars. I have used it to simulate a bass when I didn't have one available. Right now I'm not using any effects anyway.

I've tried using an octaver for that application, but to me, only a real bass will work.

All I have for effects are:
Digitech Compressor/Sustainer
Boss SD-1 Super Overdrive (to boost my 5150's lead channel and to have so some low gain jazzier/bluesier stuff on my clean channel
Boss CH-1 Super Chorus
Behringer NR100 Noise Reducer

They suck. Fuzzes emulate a ripped speaker. And octavers are pitch shifters that have no real talent and are lazy. :lol: Just kidding.

Not all sounds we hear daily are nice. And that's exactly where fuzzes come in! :idea:

As for octavers, a full-wave rectifier sounds different from a pitch shifter. And that's exactly what I want to hear.

Compressor/Sustainers are where it's at though.

OMFG I must have overlooked something! :ugh:
