Fender Texas Special ordered last night
DiMarzio Crunch Lab ordered and en route

Should I have the bar towards the neck on the crunchlab or no?
what differences are there?

thanks man but honestly, I really don't want/need another locking nut ( I don't believe I do at least.)

I just need a normal brass nut.

Also, UPDATE: Crunchlab has arrived!

Those Kahler 'behind the nut' string locks have a habit of not staying in tune, well, not as well as a Floyd locking nut, at least.

I'm a Kahler fanboi for life but I'll never get rid of my Floyd nuts.

P.S. I can't wait for more updates!

So the Texas Special is sitting at the post office and I haven't been able to get it due to my job requiring I be at work while the post office is open.

AND I ordered from sweetwater SO that means.....

OH SWEET GLORIOUS DIABEETUS.

On another note I have to dremel out a small cavity for the lip of the pick up to sit in....this is going to SUCK.
Also I have to get a black cover for the pup instead of that bonky ass white one

UPDATE!!!
Got the Texas Special in after I carved out a nice cavity for the lip of the pick up
and here is the end result as of now!

Not sure if I dig the single white pick up cover or not, thoughts?

Here is another pick of it, haven't set the pick up in with the screws just yet.

UPDATE:
Tried to put in the new 1 Meg volume pot, the threads are too short :/
Going to look around the net and see if I can find a higher thread than this one.

Tomorrow I will attach the locking nut and be adjusting the height of the normal nut and then taking it to a fabricator to furnish me a brass version later on down the road.

Alright, I just ordered some 1 meg pots from stewmac, hopefully they fit a bit better.
If not then I will do some community pro bono work on peeps guitars and fit some good ol higher output crispy pot...s.....on their guitars.

Gonna line up the Locking nut tonight before bed and drill and attach it!
