I love the Gibson scale and I've been looking for a mahogany Jackson Fusion for about 2 months now with no luck. Does anyone know of any other short scale superstrats? I know there's the Caparison Horus but that's way out of my price range.

The dual humbucker Japanese ones were. There are also some Ash ones but I can't seem to find any info on those and the JCF isn't extremely helpful.

There is the Esp Mv. They discontinued except for in Japan. You can still find them on ebay though. Great guitars. 24 fret, 24.75, humbucker in the bridge, slanted single in the neck, fixed bridge, mahogany body (iirc), GREAT upper fret access. I had the Mv200 and loved it.

The one available in Japan has 27 frets and a floyd.

Buddy Blaze's gtr line is mostly 24.75. The "Shredder" model (which is mostly a Kramer Nightswan reissue) played nicely, although the pickup location might not be what you're looking for. But at least the street price seems to have finally come down on them. Some of the original asking prices were just

Peavey's Vandenberg/V-Type is also the same scale length. Although I'm not seeing it listed on their site anymore.

ESP's Rob Arnold model is also 24.75. If it didn't have that inlay, I would have picked that one up myself.

PRSs are 25inch, and charvel/jackson fusions are 24.75, I know there are others I'm forgetting.

The Charvel 750XL, played by Shawn Lane in the 90s, was made from 1988 to 1989 and is 24.75 inch scale.
If Shawn Lane made it his weapon of choice for a while, it must have had damn good playability.

'80s and very early 90's Carvin guitars are 24 3/4".

Schecter C1 Plus is 24 3/4" I believe.

They're sincerely awesome - the problem is finding one that hasn't had nine shades of heck kicked out of it. Wish I'd pulled the trigger on one back when I saw it in early '90

I actually had one of those. It needed a pickup change, but then it was actually a great guitar. It has more of a les paul vibe to it, than a superstrat.

Agreed, I bought Orsus's MV200 and had it for a while, and it was a pretty sweet guitar. The neck didn't particularly agree with my hand, but other than that, it was a really nice and light guitar that sounded pretty sweet with a BK Nailbomb in it.

Something of a rarity - an ESP I like. Thats the Mv-200 (clearly not the Japanese version) and that ticks the boxes for me (with the possible exclusion of a large neck heel).

MV200s actually have a photo flame top, so that picture's a bit deceptive. Here's pic I took of Orsus's when I had it:

I believe the original Vandenbergs were 24.75, but when they re0lanched it as the V-Type, they made it 25.5.

Valley Arts used to make 24.75" scale strats.
