Hey guys, I've been sick a lot, but awhile ago I asked Konnector if I could so some vox over his Strategic Dismemberment. I have lyrics and a vocal pattern written out, I just want to get some decent screaming production done before I do all the tracks.

I did a track with lows and a high, and mids and a high.

Setup is Samson Q7 into M-Audio Firewire Solo into Logic Studio.

Comments and suggestions? Thanks!

PS. I get this question asked sometimes, none of this is inhale, everything is exhale.

PSS. How does one get copy/paste the soundclick player into the forum? I can't seem to find the forum code for it.

I think your vocals are mixed too loud. Compress them abit and blend them in with the rest of the instruments?

compress them and also add some reverb, even jsut a bit settles them in so well.

Sounds awesome! :yesway:

Take out the tritones and you have a Death Metal track ;)

Konnector wrote the music, I'm just doing the vox!! I really loved this track and thought my vocals would sound pretty good over it, here's to hoping it all comes together!

Yeah, the vocals are definitely mixed too loud, I will fix that soon.

The way I normally view it is, inhales 90% of the time sound like crummy vocal fry exhales, rather than my vocals sounding like inhales ;). But I understand, I tailor my vocals to be very deathcore-esque, as that's just how I like my vocals, though I dislike most actual inhalers (I can't stand Winds of Plague or Waking the Cadaver's vocals).

I am pretty much booked in terms of schoolwork/friends visiting from home/Thanksgiving until after Thanksgiving, but I would definitely love to jam out sometime after that!

I hate woo and shredded wheat(lol) style box too, and it just sounded like it. Fry is fine, but I do false chord screams a lot more. To each his own, and it's good!

Sounds good bro, wel see what we can do

either you added waaaaay too much reverb or you have too much room sound and need to get closer to the mic. IMO

There's an updated version, everything is recorded but the breakdown.

I hate the highs from 55 - 59 or around that area, and I know I need to get the compression reduction/threshold right to even out the volume of everything.

Critiques? Please.
