Ok guys, I don't build as faster as Pondman but it's not stopped !
SO we have 1 pickup rout

I wonder if I work the heel again... to make something smoother. But I'm a little just around the electronic cavity area...

The big work is achieved !! Heel re-worked, routs are done, body carved...
Let's take a look !!

The carving was done with a gouge and an eccentric sand machine. The poplar burl is difficult to work because of the random grain. The poplar get off close to the bubinga so.... sanding !

Next level, the final sanding, leveling the frets, finishin and bridge placement !

The guitar sings guys !!! It only needs the electronic plate !
Finishing with Tru Oil is absolutely THE fiinish. You can really get a high gloss or satin finish ! Really love that !

So here's the lady !

Love it! I did find some humour that the "8" is on the seventh fret :p

Sound test? :hbang:
THX! It's not really an 8 but the logo of my solo project (I'm pretty bad for inlays...)

I'm on the way for the sound test, but I have a lack of inspiration (if you have a remedy, I'll take it ! ;) )

The Alumitone X-bar have a huge wide range of frequencies, very versatile, and pretty much powerful !

Thank's guy's ! Im gonna find a good tone test !!

Very slick work! Loving it! If that's your first crack at an inlay, hats off to you man - it looks great.

You mentioned your template running away - take a lot less material off per pass with your router Like less than 1/4. It'll prevent tear outs and you get to use way less pressure on the wood and template, plus you avoid router burn.
