I'm thinking of getting a power attenuator to record my 6505+ direct input without blowing up my head. I usually play at 16 ohms which is what my cab is designed for.

I was wondering at what ohms would my 6505+ sound the best? My cousin once told me he thinks the power would be cleaner at 4 ohms for it would 30volts x 15 amps instead of 300volts x 1.5 amps. He also told me that it will have more overall distortion and that the tubes would be more evenly saturated.
