On the fence about ordering one of these - Just wondering if anyone has picked up the 2.0 version of the 50w 5153 6L6 and what their thoughts are.

Is the volume and gain balance between channels actually better now?

I have one and love it. It covers a lot of ground sonically. The volume and gain balance is definitely better. You can set it up in a way that doesn't have a massive spike between the channels. Hope this helps!

i have to ask my tech about this, cuz i know Fender is sending out kits for authorized techs to do it...not sure if there is cost besides bench price?
