Played a Mushok today. They're awesome...and currently on clearance for $400 at Guitar Center.

I replaced the pickups in my Mushok with an EMG 57/66 set and it is glorious. Give it a spin.

Or if you wanna go insane, the Schecter Hellraiser C-VI

BC Rich Bich baritone

Or the OLP MM-5

All 3 above are 30'' scale.

But if you were to choose the ones you listed, I'd go for the PRS Mushok.

Thanks for those pics ! Used ESP looks pretty cool except I dunno about EMG pups, still liking the PRS .... will need to shift my 7 bari first tho if I decide I'm better off with 6 strings

Just try them to see if they're a no go. Try the 18v mod and see how that works. If it still doesn't fit you, swap them out.

I can confirm that the LTD MHB400 is awesome, shame it has been discontinued!

Ibanez have just bought out the RGIB6, a 28" baritone six. I'm tempted!

+1 for the RGIB6... it looks good IMO, I will hopefully get it, or perhaps one of Ibanez's 2014 7-strings (that I hope will be 27" and/or have bareknuckles...).

With 28" the RGIB6 is basically as good range-wise as any 8 string, but the nut may need replacing/filing to accommodate the thick-ass strings. I'm gonna rock some vildhjarta and HLB on it, if all goes to plan.:hbang:

Depending on how much you want to spend, there is one of those Slipknot Baritones down the street from me. I recall it was expensive, but entirely sure.

I have a Gibson Les Paul Baritone and while it isn't perfect, it does the job. It plays well, and sounds pretty good with stock PUPS. I'll probably put in new PUPS soon but the guitar is good overall, but I think I lucked out... I hear Gibson has quality issues of late.

Ibanez RGD's are also nice, but I have the 7-string prestige, (RGD 2127fx), I don't know about the 6 string.

Always digged the MMM1, occasionally you get one pop up on the 'bay for around $500. That OLP MM5 always struck me as a good n cheap beater baritone. Don't knock those fenders though dude, the Jag bari's can sound utterly brutal!

The ESP George Lynch sig baritone is about as metal as you can get, not sure if they're still in production or not however...

Does anyone have opinions on the Steinberger TranScale guitars (ST-2FPA, Demon) as a baritone 6? How would they compare to the others mentioned in this thread?
