Carvin/Kiesel DC7X all day every day :yesway: I love mine and have owned several MIJ Ibanez models and similarly priced LTD's to compare it to.

you don't need to get crazy with the strings for G#, I just use a beefy slinky set for that, so 58 on the low string with an RG7321, which is 25.5".

Why did noone mention the PRS SE Custom-24 yet? Totally awesome guitar.

I have serious GAS for that guitar atm. I think many people shy away from it because of the 25" neck. The difference in tension between 25" and 25.5" is so small, even 26.5" is no huge difference. For around €600 for it seems hard to beat, i don't think any Ibanez, LTD or Schecter come close to anything in that price range, maybe Chapman but they look quite boring imo.

What he said. I had two. Still have both however one I only ordered for the neck and made a 27" scale V out of it.

Don't go crazy with the options, take advantage of the free or inexpensive options and you could be way under your $1500

27" Scale DC7X - $999

25.5-27 Scale DCM7 - $1299

This is a pretty sweet DC7X from the Kiesel Guitars In Stock listings - http://www.kieselguitars.com/guitars-in-stock/133011

No Option 50 specs and you have a 10 day no questions asked return or exchange.

I like Schecter and ESP. A LOT.

Indeed. The current price is phenomenal. To think that the initial suggested retail price was about 1,100 and you can get it for 600 is awesome.

Guess what I just bought yesterday?

Using "suggested retail" to judge a guitar's value or street price is just the worst possible idea

Well, to make it more clear. A few weeks ago the price at Thomann for the SE 7-string was 999€. Last week they started some sort of guitar sale and they reduced the price to 599€.

That is crazy.
