Hey this is the 81 yr old man thread.
I'm sure there's no significant reason they're doing that with the flags in relation to the 81 year old man.
This is my concern as well. A lot of the drive to the right up here in Canada is being driven by young men. Heck, about a year back I was watching the news about a drag storytime event that the community overwhelmingly supported, but the small number of protestors appeared to be very aggressive young men, all dressed in button-up brown shirts.I honestly can't get a read on the younger voters. Gen Z tends to be pretty progressive and overall would seem more left leaning.... with that said, I also feel like I see a ton of younger, mostly males, with no real life experience, who idolize trump like he's some god. Just like how the much older voters do.
This deserves reposting. Dang it, wher pictar!?

Like, do they read history? Do they know? Mind you, I don't blame the youth for feeling cheated; we've allowed the slow creep of wealth inequality, climate change, endless austerity and corporate concentration to come to a head, and they'll be paying for much of that for the rest of their lives. Add the lethal gun issue in the States, and the kids should be angry. But the angry incel crowd isn't something I would have predicted 20 years ago.
How very American
By all indications, this appears to be nakedly anarchist.American or unamerican as fuck, associating your movement with burning American flags is one of the worst things you can do to create the kind of change you want (in America).
That's an entirely different question / issue from whether it is "American" and, further, whether it is a part of reasonable discourse to impugn political actions by suggesting they are not American.American or unamerican as fuck, associating your movement with burning American flags is one of the worst things you can do to create the kind of change you want (in America).
In the United States that's interpreted as "freedom of speech". It's in the first amendment to the constitution. You may not like said speech, but it's American as fuck.
