might be some weird attempt to do 2 high strings and 1 low. cause the strings looks pretty thin.

The 9-string looks fucking disgusting, however.
I remember reading about those before - they're designed for some kind of innovative thirds-based jazz tuning, with a real emphasis on close-voicings.
You can see the 4th string is thick like a bass string, looks like two sets of strings 1-4 and 5-9.

My thoughts were that the guitar really stands out from other guitars today... But not in a b.c. bitch kind of way.. I like it (though headstocks a bit.... ye, ya know)
