I'd love to make a 27" Super Strat 7 with one humbucker, a Floyd and this finish.

Looks like they paint a base coat and then just mist over it from a few feet away.
Or maybe they spray through something?

Curious as well. Looks amazing, like a naturally age-worn finish. (with gloss)

its a sponge finish. There is a base coat, and then a second color applied on top via a sponge.

I can't believe I never thought of that! My mother had me do that for hours to our kitchen when I was young

Then I'm going to have to do this. It is not a hard finish to create.
