Action Height

Hello everybody this is my first post!!

Iv been an Ibanez player for 6 years and very recently purchased my very first 7 string RG1257!! I am a guitar setup fanatic and do all my own setting up and maintenance and fretwork etc.

On my 6 string i go for a tiny bit of relief and an action height of around 1.6mm at the 12th fret.

On my 7 string i cannot seem to get the guitar to play nice with this action. Is it expected that a 7 stringer is going to buzz more? Are you supposed to have a slightly higher bass side action on a 7?

Are the strings stock, and if so what are their gauges.
You might want something like a 60 or more for a B or lower tuning.

Action would have to be a bit more for most with a larger string.

I current have the guitar in standard with a set of 10-46 on there, with a 62 for my low B!

I kinda have the same problem with my ibby 7. Haven't figured it out yet...
