Albums that are some sort of "experience"

I have been thinking lately about what makes a great album, well, "great" and while reviewing different album titles from my personal collection I came to the realization that the albums I like the most are somehow an experience. A musical journey where all songs make sense and are somehow related to each other.

Do you agree with this idea? Here are some examples I could think of. Some of them are concept albums in their own right, but not all:
