Becoming the Archetype - Dichotomy.

Becoming the Archetype's Dichotomy has fantastic production! Underated metal album imo. Devin Townsend did a great job producing it. :yesway:

No love for Linkin Park? Well, I I recall correctly people used to hate them just because their albums sounded too polished but I like that. Keep your trve kvlt black metal albums recorded in some pissy basement.

Rage against the machine - STD
Playing this album very loud through a high quality sound system is a listening experience.

Also the South Park movie OST - fucking incredible production!

Job For A Cowboy's album, Demonocracy. Very clean production, great guitar tones, excellent drum mix, just awesome on the production side.

My favourite productions right now are:
- Deftones: Koi No Yokan
- Dead Letter Circus: This is the warning
- Karnivool: all of it
- Emmure: Speaker of the dead (I'm a sucker for joey sturgis mixes haha)
- the Acacia Strain: Wormwood

For me, Axe to Fall by Converge is the pinnacle of "balls to the wall" production that maintains awesome clarity. its a rather specific sound but I LOVE Kurt's style

Periphery II is probably my favorite production as far as overall clarity and just damn good tones.

On that note, anything Nolly has touched turned to ear gold.

Meshuggah's Koloss is up there for clarity and punch.

Mastodon's Leviathan is my favorite straight forward metal album as far as production goes. No frills, just pure fuckin' metal tones

Anything by Porcupine Tree.

I basically came in here to say this. Or rather Fear of a Blank Planet and The Incident.

Guthrie Govan's Erotic Cakes
Devin Townsend Project - Ghost and Deconstruction
Pain of Salvation - BE

I'd include Wintersun's Time, but I don't get the volume fluctuations.

So many great ones have already been mentioned. I would add to the list At the Drive-In's Relationship of Command and The Mars Volta's Deloused in the Comatorium.

Becoming the Archetype's - Dichotomy (Really under-rated album, Devin Townsend Produced, It's a fantastic album). I am really, really, really suprised this album did not sell more than it did.

7 Horns 7 Eyes - Throes of Absolution is a really, really well produced record as well.

Wintersun's - Time (Probably the most ridiculous production I have ever heard).

Star One's - Victims of the Modern Age (Best Crushing Rhythm tone I have ever heard for a seven string). Everything thing else is fantastic as well, singers, synths, it's ridiculous...

BIG EDIT: Whoops! I thought I hadn't posted in this thread already.
