My aging RG7420's finish was a bit worse for the wear... so I decided to get it some new duds.

Painting will take place tomorrow, and probably the next few days. I won't reveal the color choice, suffice to say that I chose nothing from my poll because I saw something much more awesome-seeming at my girlfriend's place of employment.

Sand the fuck out of it. Done!


Cool project man, I really enjoyed refinishing mine. I advice you to sand between some of the coats also, especially the primer. Use 320 or 400 even. Keep it up! Oh, and when you take closeups make sure to focus on the object and not the background :lol:

Yeah, I know. My camera is absolutely ass-tacular.

... out of curiosity what are the steps to painting it... i tried to paint a guitar of mine and it came out like crap :(

oh and what would i need?
