Just wanted to share this groove backing track, which was made specifically for learning and practicing the use of the Altered Scale!
It's got a Nile Rodgers style of rhythm guitar going on...

Scale suggestions for the Cm9 chords -
C Minor scale, C Dorian Mode, C Melodic Minor, C Minor Pentatonic/Blues Scale
And for the G7alt -
G Altered Scale: G Ab Bb B Db Eb F (G)
G Altered Scale is also known as G Super Locrian - and it's the 7th mode of the Ab Melodic Minor Scale.
