Hey guys,

Thought some of you might enjoy this Jazz Funk Groove Backing Track, which is made for practicing the altered scale - aka Super Locrian Mode - as a dominant function!

It's got a funky Nile Rodgers rhythm guitar vibe to it - and the progression is

Cm9 - G7alt

Rather than staying on G Altered throughout, it resolves to C minor, so you can play around with the tension/release going on :)

Scale suggestions:

Cm9 chords -

C Minor scale, C Dorian Mode, C Melodic Minor, C Minor Pentatonic/Blues Scale

G7alt -

G Altered Scale: G Ab Bb B Db Eb F (G)

G Altered Scale (G Super Locrian) is the 7th mode of the Ab Melodic Minor Scale.

Have fun shredding some uber-jazzy altered scale sounds :shred:
